Neil Bourne

Metallurgy Manager

Neil has more than 20 years of pilot plant and metallurgical testing experience across a wide range of projects, with a strong focus on hydrometallurgical process development. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) with Honours from Curtin University and is a member of the AusIMM.

Throughout his career, Neil has worked in metallurgical laboratories across Australia and has led both batch and continuous pilot plant campaigns for processes targeting a diverse suite of commodities. His experience includes recovery of PGMs, REEs, and a broad range of critical and battery minerals, including nickel, cobalt, manganese, lithium, antimony, high‑purity alumina, graphite, lead, and uranium.

Neil’s deep technical background, hands‑on approach, and extensive pilot‑plant experience allow him to navigate complex process challenges and deliver practical, innovative solutions for clients.
