Brett Lawson

Vice President Technology

Brett, in the role of Vice President Technology is responsible for the management and operation of Simulus. He has a wealth of experience gained from over 25 years in the minerals processing and chemical industries, both in Australia and in Brazil. Brett completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Chem) with Honours and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne and is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MAusIMM).  Brett has a broad range of industry experience, including roles in operations, process design, project engineering, engineering management and commissioning, across a variety of commodities including copper, nickel, uranium and mining chemicals.  Brett has also managed multiple batch and pilot plant testwork programs, designed, built and operated pilot plants and supported the development of novel hydrometallurgical processes for platinum group metals (PGMs), rare earth elements (REEs), and a wide range of battery and critical minerals.
